We know this makes two posts in a row about Indianapolis International Airport, but hey – there’s a lot to talk about.
The three-year-old Col. H. Weir Cook Terminal and surrounding buildings just achieved something impressive – LEED certification – a nationally accepted benchmark for design, construction and the operation of environmentallyfriendly, or green, buildings. It’s typically very difficult for airports to achieve LEED certification, given their high reliance on chemicals and large energy requirements.
