DIA is set to raise daily rates across all its lots including the popular economy Pikes Peak parking lot from June 1st 2011.. This will raise an extra $17 million dollars for the airport. The planned increases are part of DIA’s strategy to increase revenue from non airline services  explains John Ackerman, chief commercial officer at DIA: “…this attracts increased air service and is a direct benefit to travelers from around the Denver and Rocky Mountain region.”

Increased parking rates which is becoming increasingly common at airports affected by difficult trading conditions makes Denver off airport parking even more  attractive for the price conscious traveler who doesnt want the hassle and cost associated with on-airport parking.
