Cleveland Hopkins CLE Airport Guide

Address: 5300 Riverside Dr, Cleveland, OH 44135

The Cleveland Hopkins International Airport recently underwent renovations, so it has more to offer customers as they travel.

What to Look at While You Wait

Cleveland is home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, so it’s no surprise that guitars created by both national celebrities and local artists can be found throughout the airport. There’s no better way for music lovers to kill time than by checking out the unique creations that are a part of GuitarMania, a program that benefits both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the United Way of Greater Cleveland. You can still see the guitars without paying the price to get into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Downside of CLE

According to a JD Power survey in late 2015, Cleveland Hopkins Airport came in last in customer satisfaction among medium-sized airports. From baggage claim to terminal shopping and everything in between, customers showed no mercy to CLE Airport when asked to rate their experience. To be fair, the airport was in the middle of a renovation when the survey was taken, so CLE staff were not surprised that customer satisfaction scores were so low. There were issues no one could control because of the renovation.

Where to Find Superman

Whether or not you are into the latest superhero craze, you should still enjoy the Superman Exhibit near the baggage claim area of the airport. Most people don’t know that Superman was created in Cleveland, but The Siegel and Shuster Society is committed to making sure more people find out. Besides celebrating Superman, the exhibit also lists facts about the city in comic book format and is very visually appealing.

Where to Go for a Nice Drink

The Great Lakes Brewing Company is located in Cleveland, and you can sample a bit of their brew right at the CLE Airport. Seven days a week, The Great Lakes Brewing Company offers food and alcoholic beverages with a local flair. This is a great place to sit and escape the bustle of travel even though you will still be securely tucked into the airport. All of the eating establishments have reasonably-priced food that doesn't cost too much. Whether you want to sit and relax or grab a bagel on the go, there's something for everyone.

Worth Mentioning

Don’t let travel keep you from making your 10,000 steps a day! If you’re stuck between flights and need a little exercise, CLE has walking routes throughout the airport. You can also check out the CLE Healthy Eating Guide to help you find the healthiest food choices throughout the airport. For the record, we still recommend the brewery. Just make an extra lap around the walking route after you have a drink.

CLE Airport also contains many art exhibits throughout. The public, youth, and employee galleries are sprinkled all over the airport, and there are also Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Posters, as well as The Stephanie Tubbs Jones Art Gallery.

- You can find some great deals at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum Store. Shop between flights and look for discounts on great items.

- Connection stations are located in Concourse A and B, so you can plug in and work while you wait.

- Whether you choose to browse the art displays, get your exercise, or catch up on work, the Cleveland Hopkins Airport has a place for you.

- Renovated and ready to use, CLE makes travel fun and easy.
