Mineta San Jose (SJC) International Airport is known as Silicon Valley's airport. This is because it's right in the middle of this Information Technology hub with access via numerous state and Interstate roads, including California 101 & 85 and I-237 & I-280. Access is also available via public transportation in the forms of the Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) and Caltrain. 15 carriers serve SJC for domestic and international flights. These include Aero Mexico, Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, Southwest, and United. Recently, United started nonstop service from SJC to Newark's International Airport in New Jersey. Two terminals serve all passengers and are connected by an inter-terminal shuttle.
